Little Secrets
I like to call this song my first Christmas song because I wrote it on Christmas in 2015. It's a song about wrong decisions, bad communication and moving on through music. It's the song that really made me become serious about the whole music thing. I really hope you like it.
lyrics
When they ask me about us I still keep silent
Though I know it’s been a while and we’re never gonna start again
Sometimes I wonder how I don’t even miss you a bit
Then I remember: You don’t think about me at all
And I’m begging you, let’s just keep it that way
Let’s not go back to when you used to call me your babe
Put on your rose-tinted glasses and show them you’re okay
And I’ll control my face and frown as soon as you turn away
Guess what, I’m looking at the stars
as we used to before you called it off
to restart a fortnight later
with the girl you said you probably wouldn’t take
in a truck, me lying next to you
Oh did you know I was wide awake?
I thought you didn’t.
Now I wonder if you still share the same bed with your ex
Or did you ever manage to tell her what’s gonna happen next
Sometimes I wonder if you ever even miss me a bit
Then I remember you wouldn’t really know why
And I’m begging you, let’s just keep it that way
Let’s not go back to when you used to call me your babe
Put on your rose-tinted glasses and show them you’re okay
And I’ll control my face and frown as soon as you turn away
Guess what, I’m looking at the stars
as we used to before you called it off
